Active Listening

Why it matters
The most memorable conversationalists are often the best listeners. People leave feeling heard, and remember the person who made them feel that way.
This module teaches you to use curiosity and well-placed questions to start, maintain and lead conversations with minimal involvement.

Curiosity Drills
Train yourself to notice the details worth asking about, so your interest is real rather than performed.
Leading Questions
Practise questions that open people up and steer the conversation without them feeling steered.
Holding Space
Listen without rushing to fix, advise or fill the silence, and learn what to say when someone shares something hard.
Minimal Lead
Keep a conversation going for longer and longer while speaking less and less, until listening becomes your strongest tool.
